     Most tactical units that train for hostage rescue or CQB will tell you that “You NEVER go into a room BY YOURSELF.” That’s fine for a hostage rescue team, with a forty-man assault force, with flashbangs, door charges, and all their other enablers. However, how about that lone operator that needs to clear through the structure? How about that lone LE officer that can’t wait for “backup” to arrive? How about that home owner that was just awakened by the sound of breaking glass?  

Whatever your mission there may arise a situation where you find yourself alone and tasked with moving independently through a building or urban area.

This course prepares you for that situation by teaching tactics perfected by international SOF operatives.

Subjects include:

• Intro to 1-man CQB

• Actions at Threshold

• Event Horizon

• Modifying Weapon Presentation to expose less of your body

• Hasty vs Deliberate Clearing

• Door Bypassing

• Multiple shots/ Multiple Threats

• Entrance Considerations based off of door types etc.

• Force on Force Progressions

• Progression of complex room problems

• Multi-Room clearing

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

o  Serviceable pistol of at least 9mm caliber

o  Minimum of 3 pistol magazines

o  Minimum of 1 double pistol magazine pouch

o  Eye and Ear protection

o  Serviceable holster

o  100 rounds of pistol ammunition

o  Serviceable carbine (9mm, 45ACP, 5.56mm, 300BLK, or 7.62x39mm)

o  Minimum of 4 rifle magazines

o  Minimum of 1 magazine pouch or suitable method to carry spare magazines

o  Sling – suitable for a variety of shooting positions – tactical style preferred

o  100 rounds of rifle ammunition (NO STEEL CORE)

o  Rifle-mounted Flashlight

After mastering drills with live ammo on flat-range, we will be training in a “NON-Livefire” Shoot House.

All Students use some sort of Non-Livefire weapon. While Simmunition/UTM are recommended; Airsoft is acceptable. UTM Conversion Kit Rentals and UTM Ammo purchase are available, subject to availability (call early to confirm).

We are trying to get Unit Solutions to sponsor our event again. If so, we will use their excellent “Non-Weapon” training systems. If you have a Unit Solutions AR Carbine, you are highly encouraged to bring it, as we only have a limited number.

Class starts at 0800hrs in the classroom. More class details will be emailed to attending students prior to course.
