Concealed Carry Pistol
Concealed Carry Pistol
Start Time Each Day 0800hrs
This course covers the advanced skills of drawing and fighting from a IWB Holster. This is NOT a “basic” course. Most shooters, while they shoot fairly well, they do not train with the actual EDC holster that they carry every day. The reality is that drawing an EDC pistol from a concealment holster is an advanced skill. Add the fact that cover garments change daily (think t-shirt vs jacket) depending on the situation that the wearer is in. Now, also add that at the moment of truth you will be in “Fight or Flight”, and you have created a situation that must be practiced to perfection.
Want to master your EDC Pistol?... This is the course for you.
We will cover the following subjects:
· Weapons Safety & Manipulation
· Combat Mindset
· Physiological Effects of Combat Stressors
· Subconscious Mind & Muscle-Memory
· Fundamentals of Pistol Marksmanship
· 4-Step Draw and Presentation from Concealment
· Speed Reload / Tac Reload from Concealment
· Trigger Control
· Shooting from Retention
· Drawing from Alternate Cover Garments
· Immediate and Remedial Action
· Multiple-target Indexing
· Follow Though
· Threat identification
· Low/No-Light Shooting
· Dry-Fire Drills
Again, this is NOT a “basic firearms” course; it is a “concealed carry” course. Students are required to have attended our Combat Pistol Course (or equivalent) prior to attending this course.
Note: We will be using Dummy Rounds during certain drills. It is recommended that you bring a minimum of 9 dummy rounds for your Pistol. These dummy rounds can be purchased from Amazon or anywhere else on the web. Don’t waste your money on Snap Caps; just get cheap Dummy rounds, and mark them with your initials. We will have Dummy Rounds to RENT for $5 each at the course. You get your money back at the end, when you turn them back in.
