SPR Precision Rifle Course covers the basics of intermediate-range precision marksmanship while using a 5.56mm Rifle. This course was designed to honor legacy of the MK-12 SPR, while highlighting many of the combat drills and tactics used by SOF operators while fielding the MK-12 during the Global War on Terror. While this course is not restricted to tactical applications, it will include more than just competitive shooting skills. Lead instructor for this course is MSG (ret) Steve Holland, the brainchild of the original SPR program and developer of the MK-12 MOD-0 and MOD-H. His SOF instructors will share lessons learned through decades of combat experience, to explain the “what & why” of how long-range marksmanship has advanced dramatically over the last 25 years, and why the MK-12 SPR has earned its place in history.
